Job Description

As a Technical writer you will be responsible for product literature, technical documentation and product localization/translation for new and existing products. You will be part of the product team, that further consists of a product owner, product managers, UX/UI Designer and head of products. The product team is responsible for translating customer and market requirements into technical solutions and prioritise development.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Writer you will work in an international organisation, with a team all over the globe. You will develop the technical user documentation for our products and ensure technical capabilities to accelerate our strategy. The primary responsibilities will include:

• Design, implement and maintain product literature and technical documentation for the Company’s new and existing products;
• Develop, maintain and distribute official guidelines for documentation (style guides, templates, standards) to ensure documentation is completed according to company standards;
• Update and improve documentation based on customer feedback;
• Consider and be updated on new tools for documentation;
• Manage product language translations and localization;
• Create and maintain official Company naming conventions and term list for the products together with Product Owner, and make sure they are applied consistently across products;
• In cooperation with the Product Owner, analyze requirements for user documentation and information;
• Work closely with the Product Owner and the agile teams to ensure that product documentation is accurate, adapted and useful to the Company’s customers and other intended audiences;
• Help the development team handle documentation as an iterative task;
• Help in cooperation with UX to create language elements in GUI and assure the quality of translations.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, such as Engineering or Computer Science;
• 3+ years’ experience working as a Technical Writer, ideally for a software solution or SaaS company;
• An understanding from a developer perspective of application servers, web services, SOAP/REST interfaces, development methodologies, operating systems, technical platforms/architecture, and the application workflow lifecycle;
• Excellent English language skills, Dutch would be appreciated;
• Strong communication and people skills;
• Ability to produce accurate and compliant documentation.
